Sri Lanka’s first long-distance hiking trail
The Pekoe Trail, spanning over 300 kilometers, winds through the central highlands of Sri Lanka. This trail is part of a collection created by Serendipity Trails, offering a unique opportunity for travelers to explore the diverse landscapes, rich history, vibrant culture, delicious cuisine, and welcoming communities of Sri Lanka on foot.
Comprising 22 stages, this trail can be hiked in shorter segments or as a multi-day adventure, catering to different preferences and schedules.

Individuals, couples, families and other small intimate groups of no more than 6 -10 pax at a time.

Recommended age is 10 to 70.

General level of fitness: travelers should be able to walk leisurely for 4-6 hours with rests in-between.

Difficulty levels are easy to moderate, with each stage approximately a half day’s excursion, i.e. 4 - 6 hours of walking with gradual ascents and descents.

Even throughout the monsoon, mornings typically receive less rain than afternoons making the trail enjoyable year - round.
